Over the past several years, James has gone on several short term medical mission trips. After these, he has had this strong desire to do it full time. I remember during 2020 specifically after he returned from a trip in March (yes, right before the pandemic), talking a lot about doing it full time. We didn't know how or when, but maybe one day. Fast forward to 2023. James has been in contact with a family who has been serving in Honduras for 8-9 years as medical missionaries. James has been collecting expired medical supplies to send to different places in need. In September, he reached out to this family to ask if they needed anything he had collected. They informed him that they had put together a new team that would be building a new hosptial in Honduras and asked us to be praying about joining the team. WOW. We knew this was God. We had always wanted to do this, but we definitely didn't know when. We took some time to pray about it and ultimately felt led to jump on board. The hospital is called Hospital Yojoa. For more information I'll post the website below. The team closed on the land just a few days ago and we are so excited for what God has planned. We will not be moving until 2025 sometime- we have a lot of logistical decisions to make. We will update as we go along if you'd like to follow this journey.
How can you help? Prayer. Pray for us as we make decisions for our family. Pray for us as we learn Spanish. Pray for the building and funding of the hospital. If you are wanting to give to the funding of the hospital, you can do that on the Hosptial Yojoa website posted below.
Thank you so much,
With Love,
Emily
