James is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who completed his training at Texas Wesleyan University in 2014. He worked as an RN in the ICU for 3 years before CRNA training. Emily has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Southern Arkansas University. She has 4 years of teaching experience in various grade levels and subjects. We have three beautiful children: Gavin (18), Tatum (10), and Ezra Rose (5).

God has been preparing us individually, and as a family, for this journey for many years. James has taken several short-term medical mission trips and has always had a desire to serve more. We had discussed long term missions many times as a “one day” dream but logistically did not know how or when it would happen. In 2023, we learned of a team building Hospital Yojoa from a physician whom James had previously served with in Honduras. He asked to prayerfully consider joining the team to serve full time. The need is great for both anesthesia providers and teachers on the field.  God’s timing is always perfect, and we are answering this calling. James, Emily, Tatum and Ezra will be moving to Honduras in early 2025 while Gavin remains in the US to attend college. James will be providing anesthesia and Emily will be teaching the team’s missionary children. We are grateful to be called to this mission and are excited about this journey.
